Homemade Paratha Recipe (Flaky, Fried Indian Flatbread) is pan-fried Indian flatbread. It's made with Atta and It's extremely flavorful.

Ingredients

  • 3 cup whole wheat flour atta
  • 1 tbsp kosher salt
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  • Hand kneading technique - Add 3 cups of wheat flour (atta) in a wide-sized bowl. Now add salt. 
  • Make a well in the center as seen in the video.
  • Add 2 cup water slowly working the flour please refer the video for the technique.
  • Let it sit for 20-30 minutes with the lid on.
  • After letting it sit give it few punches as seen in the video.

Standing Mixer technique

  •  Combine all ingredients in a standing mixer and let it run of medium for about 8-10 minutes or until the dough is formed.

Shaping the dough 

  • While shaping the dough, Let the tawa get hot on medium-high heat while shaping the dough. (see the video.)

Cook

  • Let it cook on both sides like a chapati then 2-3 tbsp on oil on both sides and let it absorb the oil as seen in video.
