- 1 cup basmati rice
- 2 cups water
- 2 cloves
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp salt or as taste
Add olive oil in a pot on medium heat.
Let it heat up.
Now add in cloves and cumin seeds.
Sauté the cloves and cumin seeds with in the oil for 10-15 seconds.
Add in the rice and water.
Give a mix.
Let it cook and bring to a boil until you see the water evaporating.
When it's half the water is evaporated.
Cover the lid and let it cook on medium-low for 10 minutes or until all the water evaporated.
Now turn the stove to low, let it cook on low for 5 minutes. Remember the lid is still on the pot.
It's done. Serve immediately.
