Ground beef mixture
- ½ tsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tbsp yogurt
- ¼ tsp cumin seeds
- ¼ tsp fennel seeds
- ½ tsp coriander seeds
- ¼ tsp red chili powder
- ¼ tsp red chili flakes
- ⅛ tsp turmeric powder
- a pinch garam masala powder
- 1 tsp kosher salt or as needed
- 1 tbsp cilantro finely chopped
Other Ingredients
- sesame seeds
- 9 puff pastry sheets
Beef Mixture
In a medium size pot, on medium heat, add oil, and let it heat up.
Add whole spices. Now mix that for about 10-15 seconds.
Add ginger garlic paste. Mix that for 20 seconds.
Now add ground beef and break down the ground beef with a wooden spoon. Let it cook until the ground beef changes it color to brown. (this step should take 5-7 minutes.)
Add yogurt and mix. Add salt and powdered spices. Mix well and let it cook for 2 minutes.
Cover with lid and let it cook for 5 minutes. Remove the lid and let it cook for 5-7 minutes until all the water has dried up.
Garnish with cilantro.
Let's Assemble
Make sure puff pastry sheets are thawed.
Now cut them to a size and shaped desired. Most commonly we tend to cut in squares.
Take one and lay it on a plate.
Make sure rest puff pastry sheets are covered with a damp cloth.
Now follow to video to assemble it.
Then apply egg wash and some sesame seeds.
Now lay it aside and work on the next one.
While the assembled patties lay aside make sure you cover them with a paper towel so they won't dry and loose their shape.
If you want to freeze them for later now is the time or just bake them right away.
Bake instructions
Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.
Place it in an oven for 10-12 minute or until they are golden on top and triple in size.
Serve it with some green chutney or Imlee ki chutney.
