    INGREDIENTS AND SUBSTITUTIONS

Ground beef- While the recipe specifies the use of ground beef, it is readily adaptable to accommodate substitutions with ground turkey or ground chicken without any difficulty.

Puff pastry- Readily accessible at most grocery stores, I personally favor Pepperidge Farm puff pastry sheets, although any other reputable brand should suffice equally well.

    lid of a pot.

Cover it with a lid and let it cook until the ground beef is fully cook.

    HOW TO ASSEMBLE BEEF PATTIES?

Prepare egg wash and set aside for now.

After thawing the puff pastry sheets, cut them if necessary.

Place the ground beef mixture in the middle.

Fold the puff pastry sheets and close the puff pastry sheet like this with a fork. See video.

    Apply some egg wash.

Add some sesame seeds on top and bake.

    TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS

    1. Whisk the egg well.
    2. Drape a moistened paper towel over the puff pastry sheets as they await use.
    3. Following the assembly of each beef patty, shield it beneath a dampened paper towel.
    4. Remove them from the freezer approximately 15 minutes prior to the baking process.
    5. Don't Forget to read the freezing and thawing instructions.

WHAT TO PAIR WITH BEEF PATTIES?

Pair some green chutney or some imli ki chutney with beef patties.

    FREEZING AND THAWING INSTRUCTIONS

Once assembled, it is advisable to proceed with immediate baking. However, if you opt to delay baking, the subsequent step involves freezing. Begin by arranging them on a plate or tray with sufficient space to prevent contact between patties. Subsequently, transfer the plate or tray to the freezer for a duration of 30-40 minutes until the patties become firm and sufficiently cold.

Remove the tray or plate from the freezer, and store the beef patties in a ziplock bag. Return this bag to the freezer until you are prepared to bake them. This method ensures they remain separate and do not adhere to one another.
