Flaky Bakery-Style Pakistani Beef Patties are flavorful triangular pastries filled with spiced ground beef. A favorite in Pakistani bakeries, theyโ€™re perfect as appetizers or for unexpected guests.

    WHAT ARE BEEF PATTIES?

Flaky Bakery-Style Pakistani Beef Patties are tasty triangle-shaped snacks made with flavorful ground beef wrapped in a flaky pastry. This Pakistani Appetizer is golden-yellow crust is crispy and delicious, and these treats come from the rich food traditions of India and Pakistan.

These delicious Beef Patties are perfect for unexpected guests, offering a satisfying and delightful treat. They make a fantastic addition to any appetizer spread and are loved for their quick preparation. Their savory appeal also makes them an excellent choice for Iftar gatherings during Ramadan just like Beef Samosas and Chicken Pakoras.

    INGREDIENTS AND SUBSTITUTIONS

Ground beef- While the recipe specifies the use of ground beef, it is readily adaptable to accommodate substitutions with ground turkey or ground chicken without any difficulty.

Puff pastry- Readily accessible at most grocery stores, I personally favor Pepperidge Farm puff pastry sheets, although any other reputable brand should suffice equally well.

HOW TO MAKE THE BEEF FILLING?

oil with whole spices in a pot.

    Oil then add whole spices.

oil with ginger garlic paste along with whole spices in a pot.

    Add Ginger garlic paste.

    ground beef in a pot.

    Next add ground beef.

ground beef in a pot along with yogurt.

    Add yogurt.

ground beef along with powdered spices in a pot.

    Powdered spices and salt.

    lid of a pot.

Cover it with a lid and let it cook until the ground beef is fully cook.

    HOW TO ASSEMBLE BEEF PATTIES?

Prepare egg wash and set aside for now.

After thawing the puff pastry sheets, cut them if necessary.

Place the ground beef mixture in the middle.

Fold the puff pastry sheets and close the puff pastry sheet like this with a fork. See video.

    Apply some egg wash.

Add some sesame seeds on top and bake.

    TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS

    1. Whisk the egg well.
    2. Drape a moistened paper towel over the puff pastry sheets as they await use.
    3. Following the assembly of each beef patty, shield it beneath a dampened paper towel.
    4. Remove them from the freezer approximately 30 minutes prior to the baking process.

WHAT TO PAIR WITH BEEF PATTIES?

Pair some fresh Green chutney with beef patties.

    FREEZING AND THAWING INSTRUCTIONS

Once assembled, itโ€™s best to bake the patties immediately. If you need to delay baking, freezing is the way to go. Start by placing the patties on a plate or tray, leaving enough space so they donโ€™t touch.

Freeze them for 30-40 minutes until they are firm and chilled. Then, remove them from the freezer, transfer the patties to a ziplock bag, and return the bag to the freezer until youโ€™re ready to bake. This method keeps the patties separate and prevents them from sticking together.

2 and half lie on a plate.
