Ingredients

  • 2 medium golden potatoes
  • 1 cauliflower
  • medium onion thickly cut
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 green pepper finely chopped
  • 1 tomato chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice

Whole spices

  • 2 bay leaves
  • ½ tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 5 cloves
  • 2 black cardamoms
  • 5 black peppercorns
  • 4 green cardamoms

Salt & Powder spices

Garnish

  • 1 tbsp cilantro finely chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp dried fenugreek leaves

Instructions

  • In a pot, on medium heat, add oil, and let it heat up.
  • Add onion and green pepper and sauté until translucent.
  • Now add whole spices and sauté that for 10 seconds.
  • Add potatoes and mix well for 30 seconds.
  • Next add ginger garlic paste and mix well.
  • Now add a tomato and mix well for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add powder spices and salt and mix well!
  • Next add cauliflower and mix well for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add water and mix well.
  • Place lid on the pot and let it cook for 7-10 minutes or until potatoes and cauliflower are fully cooked.
  • Add peas and mix well.
  • Next add fresh lemon juice and mix well.
  • Cover the pot with lid and turn the stove to medium-low for 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with cilantro and dry fenugreek leaves.
