Sarah- I'm back with the new recipe this week, it's garlic butter mushrooms. I used to hate mushrooms until I found this recipe. Oh my god! It's so good you have to try to believe it. It's a perfect side dish for your party or your weeknight meal. I'm telling you this is a finger and pan licking recipe that you have to try. I personally took it to my neighborhood fall party recently, frankly, it was a hit. Everybody couldn't stop raving about these mushrooms. The smell and the taste infused will drive you crazy for sure. This makes a perfect appetizer or side. It could easily serve 4-6 people with the recipe below. However, I recommend you double the recipe because the aroma and the taste will drive you crazy.
This recipes is all about herbs. If you have dry herbs you can substitute. If you don't have the herbs I listed below you can substitute any other herbs. Throw in whatever herbs you want or whatever herbs you have on hand. If you have Italian seasoning throw that in let the flavors get infused with garlic and butter along with mushrooms. I always add white grape juice for taste. If it gets too runny add water and all purpose flour mixture. Stir in that mixture to prevent any lumps. keep stirring until it's smooth. I usually make this with button mushrooms but if they are out of stock as they were when I shot these yummy images I buy the baby bella mushrooms and cut the stems off for better presentation.
I usually make this for our thanksgiving feast. It's a great side for your dinner table any time and it hardly takes 10 minutes to come along. It is the easiest side you will ever make. You can make it along with some steak or some grilled chicken. Hey! I'm just giving you examples. This recipe goes with everything. Again, I am telling you you have to try this recipe to believe. You will be licking your pan. Yep! It's that yummy. I hope you give this recipe a try. If you have any questions about our recipes, techniques, or you just want to say hi!
