Perfect for cooling off on a hot day or when you crave a refreshing drink, this Pakistani sattu drink is easy to prepare in 2 minutes! Yields 1 glass of 2-Minute Cooling Sattu Drink.

    WHAT IS SATTU DRINK?

2-Minute Cooling Sattu Drink is made with roasted gram flour powder with jaggery or sugar along with water. This recipe is made of just a few ingredients, but feels like a million-dollar drink. It first originated in India and eventually made its way to Pakistan.

This Pakistani drink recipe brings me back to my childhood summers in Pakistan when my maternal grandfather used to make it for me. This recipe is one of those hidden gem recipes that my grand father introduced me to since childhood. I am extremely thankful to that. It was a cornerstone of my Pakistani summer experience, just like Mango Lassi and Sweet Yogurt Lassi.

WHAT IS SATTU DRINK MADE OF?

    • Water- Room temperature or cold water will be fine.
    • Jaggery powder- There are two types of jaggery one is dry and one is Carmel stone like I would recommend get the powder type.
    • Garam flour powder (sattu powder)- This is a very important ingredient in this recipe.

    HOW TO MAKE SATTU DRINK?

    Powder form of jaggery.

Add powdered form of jaggery and water and mix it until the jaggery dissolved.

Mix in some Gram flour powder (Sattu) and ice cubes. Enjoy!

    HOW TO STORE IT?

This Sattu drink isn't a freezer friendly recipe. Store it in the refrigerator in the pitcher it would last 3-4 days.

Hey Friend, You’ve made it this far, so now we’re basically best friends! If you make this recipe, I’d love for you to give it a quick review & star rating ★ below. Make sure you follow me on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
