Quick 10-Minute Homemade Haldi Doodh is Turmeric Milk. It originated in India and made its way to Pakistan. Drinking Haldi Doodh is the remedy for wounds, cold, cough, and congestion. This Indian/Pakistani drink recipe is here to stay in western world.
This Indian/Pakistani recipe is one of my favorite things to have after dinner. It's perfect drink for Suhoor in Ramadan like Sweet Lassi and Strawberry Lassi.

WHAT ARE SIDE EFFECTS OF HALDI DOODH?
If you drink too much of the Haldi Doodh, It's not good for the kidney.
INGREDIENTS
- Milk- I used organic whole milk but you can use 2% or fat free milk.
- Powdered spices- These will give the Haldi Doodh some warmth and flavor.
- Ginger- A small piece of ginger will provide benefits for your immunity.
- Honey- I used organic honey but you can use any honey you want.
HOW TO MAKE HALDI DOODH?
Boil Milk.
Add cloves and ginger.
Now add powdered spice and bring it to a boil and add honey.
HOW TO STORE HALDI DOODH?
Haldi Doodh is not a freezer-friendly recipe. It can be stored in refrigerator in a pitcher. When you're ready to drink it just heat it in a microwave or pour it in a pot and heat it up on a stovetop. Haldi Doodh should last 4-5 days in the refrigerator, please go according to the expiration date of your milk.

Quick 10-Minute Homemade Haldi Doodh
Ingredients
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 cloves
- a small piece of ginger
- 2 tbsp honey
Powdered spices
- ⅓ tsp turmeric powder
- ⅛ tsp green cardamom powder
- ⅛ tsp cinnamon powder
- ⅛ tsp black pepper
Garnish
- 5 almonds chopped
Instructions
- In a medium-size saucepan, on medium heat, add milk, and let it come to a boil.
- Add cloves and ginger and give it a quick mix with a whisk.
- Now add powder spices give it a good mix with a whisk.
- Now bring to a boil.
- Add honey and mix well.
- Garnish with almonds.
- Serve it in cups and serve it hot.
