    Just as any decorated hero is accompanied by an eccentric sidekick, so too are main dishes - 5-Minute Spicy Red Garlic Chutney is popularly served alongside many Pakistani entrees. Composed of just a few ingredients, Lehsun Ki Chutney (another name) infamously makes many foods spicy.

    WHAT IS A SPICY RED GARLIC CHUTNEY/?

    5-Minute Spicy Red Garlic Chutney / Lehsun ki chutney is one of Pakistan’s most famous condiments/dips. Even the simplest pleasures can delight an entire cuisine - it’s simply made of garlic, long dried red chili peppers, and a few other ingredients.     • Garlic- lehsun/lahsun
    • Long dried red pepper- lal sukhi lambi mirch
    • Cumin seeds- zeera
    • Salt-namak 
    • Vinegar- sirka
    • Water- pani

    HOW TO PREPARE IT?

    Add long dried red pepper in a blender.
    Next add garlic.
    Add cumin seeds and salt
    Now add vinegar and water.
    Blend.
    Enjoy!

    WHAT TO PAIR THIS CHUTNEY WITH?

    This chutney is in the spicy category. So it can be paired up with Mutton Pulao (Goat Pilaf), Peas Pilaf (mattar Pulao), Instant Pot Mutton Biryani. It can be added to any raita as well to give it a spicy kick.

    WHY ADD VINEGAR TO THIS CHUTNEY?

    Unlike other chutneys this one is on the spicer side. You eat only a little bit so vinegar is preservative.

    HOW TO STORE IT?

    Store it in an airtight jar/container.

    HOW LONG WILL THIS CHUTNEY LAST

    This chutney will last 2-3 months in refrigerator.

    Ingredients

    • ½ cup garlic lehsun
    • 25 long dried chili red pepper lal sukhi lambi mirch
    • 2 tsp cumin seeds zeera
    • ½ tsp salt namak
    • 1 tsp vinegar sirka
    • ⅓ cup water pani

    Instructions

    • Add all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth or a chutney consistency.
    • Enjoy!
