Easy Stovetop Pakistani Palak Keema, is a beloved dish in Pakistani cuisine. This flavorful recipe pairs ground beef with a blend of spices and the nutritious touch of spinach.

    WHAT IS PALAK KEEMA?

Easy Stovetop Pakistani Palak Keema is one of the most cherished Pakistani main dish recipes, with origins in North India and Pakistan. It features flavorful ground beef nestled in a wholesome layer of spinach. This is my parents' favorite Pakistani recipe when they want to give us a boost of iron.

half palak keema in a stainless steel pot.

With its mildly spiced and delicious taste, it’s perfect for a quick weeknight meal and can also be served as an impressive side dish for special occasions or gatherings just like Shimla Mirch Keema and Anda Keema.

WHAT KIND OF MEAT TO USE FOR PALAK KEEMA?

Although this Palak Keema recipe calls for ground beef, ground chicken, lamb, or turkey can also be great alternatives. The flavors and essence of the dish remain just as delicious with these variations.

    INGREDIENTS

    • Ground beef – When adding the ground beef, be sure to break it into small pieces, avoiding any large chunks. A finer texture is essential for achieving the perfect consistency in the dish.
    • Spinach – For the best results, use fresh spinach rather than frozen spinach in this recipe.

    HOW TO MAKE PALAK KEEMA?

    Fry with onion in oil.

    Add whole spices.

    Next ginger garlic paste.

Add a tomato and green pepper.

Next add powdered spices and salt.

    Add ground beef.

    Now add yogurt.

    Add spinach.

    Mix well.

Place the lid on the pot and let it cook.

    It should look like this.

    Add the garnish and done.

half palak keema in a stainless steel pot.

    HOW TO STORE IT?

Palak Keema can be stored in both the refrigerator and freezer with great results. When refrigerated, it stays fresh for 3-4 days, and when frozen, it can last for 2-3 months. This recipe is perfect for both options, allowing you to enjoy its flavors even after thawing overnight and reheating it on the stovetop for a freshly made taste.

Hey Friend, You’ve made it this far, so now we’re basically best friends! If you make this recipe, I’d love for you to give it a quick review & star rating ★ below. Make sure you follow me on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
