    Quick 10-Minute Pakistani Aloo Chana Chaat is a stovetop version of Aloo Chana Chaat. It's easy and flavorful. Great for Iftar spread, street food, birthday party, or even for an evening tea.

    WHAT IS CHANA CHAAT?

    Quick 10-Minute Pakistani Aloo Chana Chaat is a classic Pakistani appetizer. It's Garbanzo beans, cumin seeds, and other ingredients. Aloo Chana Chaat is a well-known street food. This Chaat originated in Pakistan. This Pakistani recipe is a vegetarian recipe.

    Aloo Chana Chaat is tangy yet mild spiced chaat. It's packed with flavor. We hope you try our No Cook Pakistani Chana Chaat as well. Even boiling the potato is really easy for this recipe with the help of a microwave. This can be eaten as a light lunch as well as a great side of your next party or Iftar spread.

    WHY TO MAKE THIS RECIPE?

    2. It comes together with few ingredients.
    3. Chana Chaat is a great option for weight loss and a great source of protein and fiber due to the chickpeas.
    4. Lastly, it's delicious.

    INGREDIENTS

    • Potato- I used a medium golden potato.
    • Chickpeas- one can of chickpeas just drain the water.
    • Powdered spices and salts- There are two types of salts in this recipe: Regular Kosher Salt and Black Salt. The Black salt will help with the tangy along with powdered spices.
    • Onion- I have used a red onion but you can a yellow onion.
    • Tomato- I have used half a medium tomato, I dont want the tomato to leak water so I took only half a tomato.

    HOW TO MAKE ALOO CHANA CHAAT?

    Add oil and cumin seeds.

    Now add chickpeas.

    Add powdered spices and salts.

    Add onion, potato, and tomato.

    Next add cilantro and fresh lemon juice.

    HOW TO STORE IT?

    Store Aloo Chana Chaat in an air-tight container in the refrigerator. This recipe will be good for 4-5 days and It's not a freezer-friendly recipe.

    Ingredients

    • 1 can of 15 oz garbanzo beans chickpeas
    • 1 medium potato
    • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
    • 1 tbsp cilantro
    • 2 tbsp olive oil
    • ½ tsp cumin seeds

    Vegetables

    • ¼ medium onion chopped
    • 1 green pepper green chili pepper
    • ½ medium tomato

    Powdered spices and salts

    • ⅛ tsp kosher salt
    • ¼ tsp black salt
    • 1 tsp dried mango powder amchur powder
    • ½ tsp chaat masala powder
    • ¼ tsp cumin powder

    Instructions

    Preps for the Aloo Chana Chaat

    • Boil the potato in the microwave, 2 min 30 seconds on each side. Next peel off the skin with the peeler, and cut in cubes.
    • Chop the onion, tomato, cilantro, and green pepper while potato are in the microwave.

    Let's Make Aloo Chana Chaat

    • In a medium size fry pan, add olive oil, and let it heat up on medium heat.
    • add cumin seeds, sauté cumin seeds for 5-10 seconds.
    • Now add chickpeas, sauté them for 1 minute.
    • Now add powdered spices and salts.
    • Mix well!
    • Add onion, tomato, potato, and green pepper.
    • Now add lemon juice and cilantro.
