Quick 5-Minute Boondi Raita, a well-loved Pakistani/Indian condiment/dip, features a blend of yogurt, spices, and Boondi. It's easy to make yet extremely flavorful.

    WHAT IS BOONDI RAITA?

Make a Quick 5-minute Boondi Raita, a delicious yogurt-based Indian/Pakistani dip. "Raita" highlights its yogurt base, and this flavorful version combines yogurt, spices, and Boondi—small, deep-fried gram flour balls.

The tasty Pakistani/Indian recipes' main ingredient Bhoondi adds an extra burst of flavor to this unique raita. Boondi Raita is simple to make, requiring no prep—just mix a few ingredients with Boondi, and you're all set! Try this along with other delicious other dips on the blog: Plum Chutney, Mango Chutney, and Cucumber Raita.

    INGREDIENTS

    • Boondi- In stores, two varieties of boondi are available: plain Boondi and masala Boondi. In this recipe, I opted for plain boondi, although I occasionally enjoy using masala boondi. As masala Boondi already contains added spices, it imparts an even more flavorful twist to the raita.
    • Powder spices- Elevate the taste of this raita.
    • Sugar- To balance out the savory with sweet.

    HOW TO MAKE BOONDI RAITA?

Soak the Boondi in warm water.

Mix yogurt with red chili powder, cumin powder, black salt, salt, sugar, cilantro, and green pepper.

Mix in the drained Boondi and Enjoy!

    HOW TO STORE THIS RECIPE?

Boondi Raita is not suitable for freezing. When stored in the refrigerator with an airtight lid, it maintains its freshness for 3-4 days.

WHAT TO PAIR THIS RECIPE WITH?

Pair Boondi Raita with Chana Pulao, Chicken Biryani, Moong Masoor Dal, Basmati Rice, and many more. This Raita compliments everything literally.
