Quick Keema Curry (Pakistani Ground Beef), is minced beef cooked with tasty spices. It's made in a yummy curry with tomatoes and yogurt. This Pakistani recipe tarted in Northern India and became popular all over Pakistan. Now, it's a favorite, just like Chapli Kababs and Keema Matar.
My brother doesn't even like ground beef but he love this Keema Curry.

WHY KEEMA IS SO VERSATILE?
Keema is super versatile and works well in many meals. You can enjoy it with spaghetti, rice and Moong and Masoor Dal. It also tastes great when mixed with vegetables like potatoes, peas, cauliflower, and more!
INGREDIENTS
- Ground beef- For the best result in terms of flavor for this recipe I suggest using 20% fat ground beef.
- Onion- Although this recipe calls for freshly sliced onion, the store-bought fried onion can easily be substituted.
- Whole and powdered spices- They unleashes the flavor in the Keema.
- Tomatoes- Fresh tomatoes is highly encouraged for the flavor of this recipe.

Quick Keema Curry (Pakistani Ground Beef)
Ingredients
- 1 lbs ground beef
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 1 medium onion thinly sliced
- 1 green pepper
- 2 tomatoes chopped
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 3 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 tomatoes chopped
Whole Spices
- 1 cinnamon
- 3 cloves
- 5 black peppercorns
- 4 green cardamoms
Powdered spices
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp kosher salt
Garnish
- ¼ tsp garam masala powder
- ginger julienned, (optional)
- fresh cilantro
Instructions
- In a medium size pot, on medium heat, add olive oil, let it heat up.
- Add onion and sauté until tranlscent.
- Next add the whole spices and mix for 10 seconds
- Now add ginger garlic paste and mix for 10 seconds.
- Add the ground beef, sauté it well until it changes color.
- Next add tomatoes and mix.
- Add tomato paste and mix until the the tomato paste mix well and the tomatoes softens.
- Now add green pepper and mix well.
- Add salt and powdered spices and mix.
- Let it cook for 5 minutes.
- Now place the lid, and turn the stove to medium low heat for 10-15 minutes.
- Uncover the lid.
- Garnish with Garam Masala Powder, ginger (optional), and fresh cilantro.

Had ground beef but didn't want tacos. Came across this recipe and decided to try it. Turned out so good! Kids and husband enjoyed! Put over elbow noodles for my girls because they requested "pasta" for dinner.
