WHAT IS DOODH PATTI?
15-Minute Pakistani Doodh Patti is milk based tea. This originated in India and made its way to Pakistan. Chai or tea is a must in Pakistan and India; from birthday party to wedding or a simple dinner a cup of chai is a necessary for South Asian household.
The most common Pakistani drink is your classic chai, if want to make anything special you'd make Doodh Patti. It's more creamier since it's milk based. There are other milk based drinks on the blog like: Cold Coffee, Aam Doodh (Mango Milkshake), and Rooh Afza. This has to be one of my husband's and parents' favorite drink on the blog.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CHAI AND DOODH PATTI?
Chai and Masala Chai are all water based but Doodh Patti is milk based, no water use to make Doodh Patti.
INGREDIENTS
- Milk- I used whole milk but you can low fat milk. Although It's more flavorful when whole milk is used.
- Green Cardamom- Any kind of Pakistani tea wouldn't be complete without green cardamom.
- Tea bags- I use Vitale brand for tea but you can use any brand of tea that your heart desires.
- Sugar- I use regular sugar but you can use Splenda, Stevia, or even honey.

15-Minute Pakistani Doodh Patti
Ingredients
- 3½ cup whole milk
- 6 teabags
- 2 green cardamoms
- sugar up to you how sweet you want
Instructions
- In a saucepan, on medium heat, add milk, green cardamoms, and let it come to a boil.
- Add teabags.
- Mix well let it cook for about 7-8 minutes.
- Stirring it like shown in the video.
- Then add sugar and mix well!
- Serve it hot immediately!
- Enjoy!
