Homemade Pan-Fried Paneer Tikka is easy to pan-fried stovetop. Just marinate with yogurt and powdered spices for couple of hours and on stovetop can make 4 skewers with this recipe. This post also includes how to soften the paneer.

    WHAT IS PANEER TIKKA?

Indian Paneer Tikka (Stovetop) is an Indian Appetizer. It's extremely popular in Indian restaurants. This Paneer recipe originated in India. This is a gluten-free recipe. Be sure to check out our Palak Paneer recipe on the blog.

Paneer Tikka is pieces of Indian cottage cheese cut into cubes. Marinated in powder spices and yogurt along with thick square-cut pieces of onion and bell pepper. Place those marinated pieces of Paneer along with onion and bell pepper on a skewer and grill them on stovetop until they are golden on all sides.

HOW TO MAKE THE PANEER SOFT?

Soak the pieces of paneer in salt water for softness of the paneer for 15 minutes. The paneer will be soft yet not soggy.

WHAT TO EAT WITH PANEER TIKKA?

Paneer Tikka can be eaten with Cilantro and mint chutney, Green chutney, or Mint chutney.

    INGREDIENTS

    • Paneer- Make sure to do the soften step or paneer will be hard.
    • Onion- I use red onion but you can white onion as well.
    • Bell pepper- Any color of bell pepper can be use for this recipe.
    • Powder spices- These ingredient will give the paneer tikka its flavor.

    HOW TO MAKE PANEER TIKKA?

Soak the paneer in salt and water.

    Marinate for 2 hours.

    Setup the station.

Place the paneer, onion, and bell pepper on skewers like this.

Cook it on stovetop on all sides. Sprinkle some chaat masala on Paneer Tikka skewers.

    Enjoy with chutney.

    HOW TO STORE IT?

Place this Indian recipe in either a zip lock bag or an air-tight container, removing the skewers if they don't fit. Store it in the refrigerator or freezer. It will last for 3-4 weeks in the freezer and 2-3 days in the refrigerator. When ready to reheat, simply place it in a toaster oven or microwave.
