    WHAT IS JAVITRI POWDER?

    Quick 2-Minute Homemade Javitri Powder is a valuable seasoning used in many cultures. This spice enhances the flavors of Pakistani/ Indian recipes. Originally from India, it has also become a staple in Pakistani cuisine.

    This spice from Pakistan/Indian recipes adds a distinctive flavor to dishes like Mutton biryani, Nihari, Haleem, and particularly Chicken kababs. Incorporating it can truly elevate the taste to a whole new level.

    WHY MAKE HOMEMADE JAVITRI POWDER?

    To be honest, a couple of years back, I wasn't in the habit of making these Pakistani/Indian spice blends myself. However, a friend recommended creating Cumin powder, Javitri Powder, Garam Masala powder, and Green cardamom powder to elevate the authenticity of my recipes.

    I decided to give it a try one day, and ever since, I haven't gone back to store-bought options. Crafting my own Javitri powder provides a fresher, preservative-free, and more flavorful depth of taste and scent, which has completely revolutionized my cooking adventures.

    HOW TO USE JAVITRI POWDER?

    Javitri Powder is commonly incorporated into Pakistani recipes in curries, marination, biryanis, Kababs, along with various other powdered spices like coriander powder, cumin powder, and etc.

    • Javitri Powder- This recipe consists of only one ingredients.

    HOW TO MAKE JAVITRI POWDER?

    Add javitri in a fry pan.

    Dry Roast the javitri.

    RECIPE THAT USES JAVITRI POWDER

    I had you grind a flower of javitri powder, but based on this recipe, I can now recommend using 1 teaspoon of javitri powder. Here are a few recipes from the past that required grinding:

    • Bhuna Gosht
    • Hariyali Chicken Tikka
    • Gola Kabab
    • Mutton Chaap

    HOW TO USE STORE IT?

    To maintain the freshness of Javitri Powder, keep it in an airtight container in a dry, room-temperature spot, or refrigerate it as an alternative. Proper storage ensures that Javitri Powder retains its quality for about a year, whether stored at room temperature or in the fridge.

    • In a fry pan, add javitri and lightly dry roasted for 30 seconds.
